How do I connect my eedomus box to the Internet?

By plugging directly to your Internet router via the provided Ethernet cable, and by registering on the website.

How much energy consumes my eedomus box?

Less than 1 W, hence the fact that it can be permanently plugged (1 permanent Watt equals 1 euro your annual electricity bill).

How far can I place the devices from my box?

We recommend not to exceed 10m, and position the plugs so they will act as radio “relay” to other devices.
In open field range can go to 30m

What happens if the internet connections stops?

You can not access your system from the outside, but will continue to operate normally.
Any order sent from outside your home will automatically run when the Internet recovers.
From home a local website allows you to continue to consult and manage your devices, your programs also continue to run.

Which Smartphone do you recommand to access the service?

Any JavaScript-enabled phone: iPhone or Android (HTC, Samsung, …) will suite perfect for this.

Do I need a computer to use eedomus?

No.
If a computer or a tablet is needed for initial setup (it may even be outside your home), then it is not needed that it stays on.

Which operating system is compatible with eedomus? (Do I need a PC running Windows?)

The eedomus portal is available from any HTML5 compatible browser, no matter if your machine is a Mac or a PC, running Windows or Linux.
We recommend using the latest update of your browser (Firefox , Chrome , Internet Explorer , …)

What happens if I stop paying my subscription?

The functionality of the box will be reduced (you can’t access it from the Internet, no more images storage, historical, email alerts and SMS).
If you wish, you can reuse your devices (and cameras) for other purpose as the radio protocol is open.

How many devices can i use simultaneously?

Up to 255 devices per box eedomus beyond you will add a 2nd box (which may be associated with your existing account or new account)

How do I connect a camera?

The cameras can be connected in WIFI (depending on the model, and if your ADSL router supports it), by the electric current (via PLC taken not included), or the provided Ethernet cable.

Who does the installation?

The system is designed to be installed by the user.
We do not provide installation service to date. Outdoor cameras may require the intervention of an electrician or at least some work (cable, fixation). Installations on high current (heat) must be performed by an electrician

Should I buy the devices on the shop eedomus?

It is recommended to facilitate compatibility, but you will find in other stores (open protocols). You can also buy cameras in that you know how to configure.
